Last week, I was fortunate to be able to go and watch Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United play a friendly in Melbourne at the famous MCG. Over 78,000 people in attendance. The game finished 1 goal apiece, and was decided in Newcastle’s favour on penalties.
Both teams had travelled to the other side of the planet after their final round in the English Premier League, and may have been a bit affected by jetlag. Either that or they just normally play the possession-based tippy-tappy football. The pace of the game was certainly slower than I expected.
But then at half-time, Bubble Ball! What fun! Watch a short video here.
thanks for the video Steve - never heard of Bubble Ball before.. but I have to say if THAT was more entertaining than the football, you must have been REALLY disappointed! :-))
